  • First Annual Report Published on Instagram for the Calgary Zoo by Trigger

    / Comments (0)

    From Debs Dawson at Trigger:

For the first time, an annual report has been published on Instagram. It’s the latest in Trigger’s commitment to developing conservation-focused annual reports for Calgary Zoo.

The idea for the Instagram-based annual report came from a creative insight that with a record 1.457 million people visiting the zoo in 2012, a record number of images were posted on Instagram tagged #calgaryzoo. Our audience was using the channel – why shouldn’t we?

Conservation is integral to the zoo’s vision and mission, and last year we produced its annual report on a single sheet of recycled newsprint. Going paperless takes it a step further.

Released on Earth Day, you can view it on the Zoo's Instagram feed.

  • Critical Mass Tickles Twitter on Earth Day

    / Comments (0)

Critical Mass developed a fun digital engagement program on Earth Day with a real-world payoff for their client Green Works: a charitable donation to an organization helping to make the world greener. To participate, Twitter users tweet a joke to try to make our patch of daisies giggle. For every #GigglingDaisies tweet, Green Works will donate $1 to a charity that helps plant gardens and greenery in urban schools – whether the daisies laugh or not.

The new program received coverage on The New York Times yesterday.

The campaign is part of an ongoing strategy developed by Critical Mass to lighten up around the topic of green living.

Check out the program and pitch in a Tweet.
