Lots of news coming out of Critical Mass that last few weeks.

    From Katy Zack:

The relationship will be managed from Critical Mass’ 50+ person London office, the agency’s European headquarters. In addition to Goodyear Dunlop Tires, the Critical Mass office, which recently relocated to Covent Garden, works as the lead digital agency for global brands such as Nissan, Infiniti, HP and Citibank.

Susanne Jones, SVP Managing Director, Critical Mass, added, “Goodyear Dunlop Tires has a heritage of innovation, starting with the invention of the first tire. Critical Mass shares the same DNA, with notable industry firsts such as the first online car configurator and branded iPad app. We look forward to sharing our expertise working as the lead digital and social media marketing partner for some of the world’s most recognized brands to help Goodyear Dunlop Tires bring its inventive spirit to life with extraordinary experiences across its social channels.”

  • What Are Dolphins Saying? Critical Mass and Green Works Knows.

    / Comments (0)

From Katy Zack at Critical Mass:

The idea is centered around the company’s theme: ‘You don’t have to be lost in translation to be green”. It’s a mantra that green should be for all and the latest initiative in the brand re-launch strategy recently covered by The New York Times).

To create Dolphin Translator as a rich-video experience, Critical Mass combined a bit of creative technology and detailed filming techniques (hours of footage of live dolphins!). Critical Mass was able to pull this off in HTML5 to provide an equally dynamic experience whether on desktop browsers or iOS devices.

Try it out for yourself. Pretty fun stuff.

From Katy Zack at Critical Mass:

Critical Mass’ Latin America office is located in San Jose, Costa Rica, sharing an office with The Hangar Interactive, a digital production facility wholly owned by the agency. Founded in 2009, and profitable within two years, the success and experience of building The Hangar Interactive helped Critical Mass to see the potential in the regional talent pool and the accessibility of the marketplace. Today, The Hangar Interactive is now home to more than 90 digital designers and developers.

I wonder how many transfer requests they're getting in their cold-North head office.
